I believe this question this question really asking “how do I speak in front of more than 3 people?”

There are many aspects to becoming an effective public speaker. One of them of course, is having the courage to speak to a group of people.

One needs to have something they want to share and the communication skills to be able to craft a speech or presentation that gets the message across.

Then there is a practice aspect. If you are delivering a presentation you need to learn it inside out, so you can deliver without worrying about your content.

If the question is actually asking how do you speak in front of a group of 3 people in any general condition, not necessarily delivering a speech, then many similar factors come into play.

You need to expand upon your courage. You won’t become skilled in anything if you don’t stretch your boundaries. You can start by talking to more than 3 people at a time. This can be as simple as adding a comment at a staff meeting or perhaps a group gathering.

Take it slowly, build up your courage incrementally and do it again. You’ll likely find the anxiety you are facing will reduce incrementally and in time you may very well wonder why you were anxious in the first place.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention checking out a Toastmasters club in your local community. You need to be 18 years old to be able to join though. Toastmasters will provide you a perfect opportunity to practice your communication and leadership skills.
